Safety, quality and compliance for HV and transformer work
You need to know a contractor won't create a problem on your site. This page sets out how we plan, control and record every Alltech Power scope and what we can provide for your vendor onboarding.
How we plan before we mobilise
Every job follows the same five steps, regardless of size or value: Inspect, Assess, Discuss, Implement, Execute.
- Inspect
- Assess
- Discuss
- Implement
- Execute
Before mobilisation we visit the site, meet your team, complete your inductions and walk the work area. We photograph conditions and inspect any client-supplied parts, then plan equipment placement, storage and laydown before work starts. You get a job planned around your site, not a generic method.
Safety on site, every day
Your pre-start, then ours
We attend your morning pre-start, then hold our own toolbox meeting on the day's tasks, hazards and expectations.
SWMS and JHAs on every job
Prepared from our written templates and updated for the specific task and site.
Your permits and inductions
We work inside your permit-to-work and induction systems, including isolations and lock-on.
Written safety policies
[CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: list of policy titles]
The benefit to you: the controls your principal expects are in place from the first day, without your team having to chase them.
Oil regeneration before replacement
Where transformer oil can be filtered or regenerated, we do that rather than replacing it. You reduce waste oil disposal and the cost of new oil and keep the asset in service.

Quality you can verify at handover
Every scope is recorded on inspection and test records (ITRs). You receive a documented record of what was installed, tested and signed off, so your project closes without gaps your principal or asset owner will query. [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: confirm what else is handed over, e.g. oil test results, commissioning records]
Authorisations and insurances
| Item | Detail | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Western Power authorisation | Held personally by Cooper Allin and our technician. Alltech works on the Western Power network as a subcontractor to approved vendors. | The people on your job are already authorised for Western Power network work. |
| Public liability insurance | [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: insurer and limit, or "available on request"] | Copies available for your onboarding pack. |
| Workers compensation | [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: confirm held] | Copies available for your onboarding pack. |
